My memories of the 'Berry' family begin in 1995 when I first met Pat, Ron & Gareth when I went to their home as a respite carer from Harrow Crossroads. There was Ron, who thought himself as a flamboyant cordon bleu chef who was always a bit heavy on the adding of the cream & brandy!! Somewhere in my memory I am sure there was a story of a disastrous Christmas Day Turkey!!! However he was the best husband Pat could have ever had and the best father to Gareth. Gareth in the Boys Brigade - was it the drums? who had equally proud parents of this loving son. Who since Ron's death has proved to be one of the best sons any mother could have wished for. And then there is Pat, what a woman, what an inspiration, who showed how to live & make the most of your life when you have Parkinsons. Always positive, always cheerful - never a bad word against anyone - a wonderful woman..... It was a great privilege to have known you all - thank you and God bless you Gareth - I hope you are able to get out there and really enjoy what life can offer xxx
